Material placement by crane

Lumber packages onto the second floor, steel onto the roof, stone into the backyard. Delivered and set where the crew is working, not at the curb.

Material placement

Material where the work is, not where the truck stopped

A standard building-supply delivery ends at the curb or the driveway. Everything after that is your crew carrying it, or renting a telehandler. We deliver with the crane, so the lumber package goes onto the subfloor, the steel goes onto the roof, the trusses go up to the plate, and the pallets of stone go to the back of the yard where the landscapers are.

This saves the most time on residential construction and renovation, where there's rarely equipment on site and the labour of moving material by hand is real money. It also matters on commercial roofs, where getting insulation, membrane and mechanical curbs up there is a job in itself.

We pick up from the supplier on the 25 ft deck or lift what's already on site. Reach is 65 ft, which covers most houses and low-rise buildings from the street or driveway.

  • Lumber, trusses, wall panels and sheathing onto the floor deck
  • Roofing material and mechanical curbs onto commercial roofs
  • Landscape stone, pavers and soil into backyards
  • Precast, steel and rebar onto the pad
  • Supplier pickup and placement in one trip

Questions we get

Material Placement: the common questions

Can you set a lumber package on the second floor? +
Yes, that's one of the most common placements. The package is strapped, lifted off the deck and set on the subfloor where the framers want it.
Can you reach a backyard from the street? +
On a typical lot, yes, with 65 ft of reach. Send a photo from the street and we'll confirm.
Will the outriggers damage the driveway or lawn? +
We use pads under the outriggers on soft ground and on interlock. Tell us what the surface is and we'll plan for it.
